Clinical Study of Sultamicillin in Chronic Purulent Otitis Media and Acute Exacerbation

Abstract
|

|
13 cases of chronic purulent otitis media and 7 cases of acute exacerbation n of chronic otitis
media were treated with sultamicillin tablets with the following results,
1. Sultamicillin tablet achieved a high overall efficacy rate of 70%. Bacteriologically, causa native organism were eradicated in 55% of cases.
2. Indigestion was observed in 3 cases.
However, it was mild in nature and did not interfere with the continuation of treatment From these findings, it is concluded that sultamicillin tablet can be expected to be very effective in treatment of purulent otitis media.
